Printing times vary, with a postcard-size image taking approximately 41 seconds and a credit card-size print about 23 seconds.

Designed for modern mobile lifestyles, the SELPHY is user-friendly and portable. While it comes with an AC power supply, it also supports the optional Canon NB-CP2LH battery, providing up to 54 prints on a single charge. Its compact size and wireless capabilities make it ideal for on-the-go printing without the need for cable connections.

The SELPHY offers various connectivity options, including an SD card slot for direct use with SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory cards. MicroSD cards can be connected via an optional adapter. Additionally, a USB flash drive can be connected to the USB Type-C port, and your computer can be connected for printing via USB (compatible with Windows 11 and the latest macOS versions).

With built-in Wi-Fi, the SELPHY can be synced to your smartphone or tablet using the SELPHY Layout app or Canon PRINT app for iOS and Android. These apps allow for customization of print finishes, application of effects, addition of QR codes, and more. The printer's large 3.5-inch display enables previewing and editing of images before printing, including applying effects like sepia or black and white. Wireless printing can also be initiated via Apple AirPrint.

Various ink and paper sets are compatible, including postcard-sized RP-108 and KP-36IP, square-sized KC-18IS (adhesive stickers), and credit card-sized KC-18IF, among others. The printer's output tray can hold up to 18 sheets, and it features an anti-theft wire lock slot for added security.
