The FUJIFILM GF 250mm f/4 R LM OIS WR lens is a medium telephoto prime that stands out for its sophisticated optical design, making it a valuable addition to the G-mount GFX camera system. With its 197.5mm-equivalent focal length, this lens offers a unique blend of long reach and a relatively bright f/4 maximum aperture. These features make it particularly well-suited for isolating subjects and experimenting with shallow depth of field techniques. The lens's advanced optical configuration includes one Super ED element and two extra-low dispersion elements, effectively controlling color fringing and chromatic aberrations to deliver exceptional clarity and color accuracy.

Beyond its optical prowess, this lens boasts a five-stop-effective image stabilization system, significantly reducing the effects of camera shake and enabling sharper handheld shots. It also features a linear autofocus motor that operates swiftly and quietly, enhancing its versatility for various shooting scenarios. An internal focusing mechanism maintains a consistent lens length during operation, ensuring image quality remains steady across the entire focusing range. An added benefit is that the linear motor position is locked when the camera is turned off, preserving the focus position.

A convenient Focus Preset function button allows you to recall saved focusing positions, facilitating quick switches between different focusing distances. The lens's Optical Image Stabilization system compensates for up to five stops of camera shake, resulting in sharper images when shooting handheld. Additionally, the physical aperture ring provides an intuitive way to adjust exposure settings, featuring a C (Command) position for camera-based aperture control.

To further enhance its usability, the front element of the lens is equipped with a hydrophobic fluorine coating, effectively repelling moisture and ensuring that your images remain clear and free from unwanted artifacts. The lens's rugged magnesium-alloy construction is dust-, freeze-, and weather-sealed, allowing you to confidently work in challenging climates, even in temperatures as low as 14°F.

For those seeking even greater reach, the FUJIFILM GF 250mm f/4 R LM OIS WR lens is compatible with the optional GF 1.4X TC WR Teleconverter, extending the focal length to an impressive 350mm. This versatility makes it an excellent choice for wildlife and portrait photography, where precision and image quality are paramount.
