The X-series is a sleek and versatile camera that takes on the concept of the half-frame film world. Its 1" vertical-oriented sensor is ideal for capturing 18MP videos and still images. In addition, it features Film Simulation mode and a variety of adjustment settings. The X half can be used to record in Film Mode, which is a type of shooting that requires you to select a specific film setting and a 36-, 72-, or 54-shot roll. The results of the roll will only be visible after you have finished shooting. You can also use the FUJIFILM App to create and transfer the files. After you have finished your roll, your camera will automatically create a contact sheet image for you. This will fit over the film strips and allow you to quickly review your photos. Film Mode only features a rear LCD that displays a frame counter, a trigger for AF/MF, an option to set a timestamp, and a zone focusing scale. To ensure that you get the most out of your photos, you'll need to use a built-in frame advance lever to set up the frames. You can also manually focus using the lens's built-in AF-C1 mode.

• The X-series features a dedicated Film Simulation mode that's designed to help you take the most out of your photos. Its secondary LCD is also designed to look like a rear window of a film camera. This small display allows you to easily cycle through the various Film Simulation options by swiping up or down.
• The X-series features 13 Film Simulations, which are designed to give you a deeper understanding of the various characteristics of film. You can also set the grain effect to adjust the appearance of each type of film. In addition, there are 26 filters that are inspired by the film's unique traits. These include Double Exposure, Light Leak, Expired Film, Halation, and Classic Chrome.
• One of the easiest ways to share half-frame film photos is by showing two adjacent frames as diptychs. This method makes it easier to print, trim, and share films since each half of the picture has a single full frame. The X-series can also automatically create in camera diptychs from two different photos or videos. To start using this mode, use the frame advance lever after shooting the first frame.
• The second successive frame will then transition into a diptych and produce a single file. You can also customize the border style, background color, and width of the border using the custom settings. The 10.8-million-f/2.8 lens from Fujifilm is ideal for capturing versatile landscapes and everyday shooting. Its versatile optical design allows it to provide a wide-angle view.
• The lens' aperture ring is equipped with a tab that's designed to make it easier to switch between manual and aperture. It also has an A position that can trigger the camera to switch to program exposure or shutter speed priority. The lens' front focusing ring is also equipped with a button that's designed to automatically adjust its focus to a minimum of 4x.
• When using the Film Mode, this accessory can still shift focus even with the setting distance indicated on the scale. The X-series is designed to be portable and fun to use. It features a handful of additional design elements that make it more like a film camera. A simple optical window viewer is placed in the corner, which looks similar to a rangefinder. It doesn't provide information about shooting or focusing, and it features an eye sensor that will automatically turn off when it's used.
• The rear LCD is also designed to match the vertical shape of the sensor. It has a touchscreen design that allows users to easily configure their settings. A pill-shaped sub-LCD touchscreen located next to the main one is used to show the Film Simulation mode. When in the menu, this device serves as a navigation tool. Although the camera doesn't have a menu button, users can access the various sections of the menu using the swipe method on the rear touchscreen.
• To access the main menu, swiping from the right side allows users to access the various categories and their settings. The top plate of the camera features a compensation dial that's designed to allow users to adjust the exposure manually. It also has a built-in shutter release button that accepts conventional cable releases.
• The integrated frame advance lever is designed to allow users to advance to the next frame while still shooting in the Film Camera mode. It can also be used to activate the 2-in-1 mode when shooting normally. Additionally, when pressed, the last photo taken in the film mode is displayed on the LCD for quick review.
• The camera features a built-in flash that's capable of shooting in low-light situations. It's also equipped with a Cold Shoe on the top plate that can hold various accessories, such as lights. It's powered by a lithium-ion battery that's capable of charging. Its USB-C port can be used to transfer files and audio through headphones.
•  While paying homage to a film camera, the X-series can also be used to take videos that are formatted for sharing on social media. It has a unique sensor that's capable of recording at up to 24 frames per second.
• It has a built-in stereo microphone on top of the device. The camera is built for sharing photos and videos. It can be wirelessly connected to an INSTAX printer and prints photos instantly.
