A remarkable correction for various optical irregularities, such as ghosting, flare, coma, spherical, and axial distortions, even at the frame's far edges. In addition to dust and water-repelling features, this frame also features a robust anti-reflective coating. The constant maximum aperture of the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm F/2.8 S lens ensures that you get the best possible picture regardless of the zoom range. It allows you to capture vibrant and blurred backgrounds even while shooting at fast shutter speeds. The ability to create a dazzling depth of field with an f/2.8 lens is also great for video, where it can be used to create a compelling storytelling effect. The Z 24-70mm lens features a circular nine-blade diaphragm that contributes to a pleasing out-of-focus quality. It also helps with the use of selective focus techniques and shallow depth of field.

Two separate AF drive units are synchronized to deliver fast and accurate focusing in the zoom range. The system utilizes stepping motors for a smooth and quiet performance. It's ideal for video and stills applications.

A full-time manual focus can be used with the lens. An internal focusing design can also be used to maintain the length of the lens while focusing. It's ideal for shooting with fast and accurate focusing speeds.

The four aspherical elements in the lens are designed to reduce the distortion and spherical aberrations. They help achieve accurate rendering and produce sharp images.

The Z 24-70mm lens is also complemented by a multi-focus system that utilizes two motors for fast and accurate focusing. It's ideal both for stills and video applications. Its unique physical design and an adjustable L.Fn button make it easy to set different settings and exposure levels.

A control ring can be programmed to adjust the settings for various cameras and exposure modes.

A wide variety of features such as a customized control ring, dual-detect 5 axis VR, and dust and drip resistant make the NIKKOR Z24-70mm f/2.8 S an ideal choice for high-quality photography. It's designed to minimize the effects of lens aberrations, especially at close range. Its multi-focusing system delivers fast and accurate focusing and significantly reduces fringing.

The Nano Crystal and ARNEO coatings prevent ghosting, flare, and reflections while working in harsh lighting conditions. They also control the light coming from both a vertical and diagonal direction. The Super Integrated Coating system helps ensure that the colors are always accurate.
