The lens features a built-in Vibration Reduction for up to 4.5 stops of shake compensation, keeping handheld shots sharp. A stepping motor delivers fast, quiet autofocus for stills and video, with manual focus override available whenever you need it. A programmable control ring lets you quickly dial in your preferred camera and exposure settings.

The NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR offers a 75-375mm equivalent reach, making it ideal for distant subjects and portraits. An extra-low dispersion element reduces chromatic aberration for sharper, truer color, while a Super Integrated Coating controls ghosting and flare to maintain contrast and accuracy in bright or backlit conditions.

The Z30's hybrid autofocus combines phase- and contrast-detection for fast, accurate focus in both photos and video. Eye Detection AF locks onto subjects' eyes automatically, while face and eye tracking follows people, dogs, and cats as they move through the frame. The system also handles product close-ups naturally, shifting focus smoothly as objects are brought toward or pulled away from the camera.

Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connect to the SnapBridge app for wireless photo and video transfer and remote camera control. On the usability side, a dedicated '?' button explains any camera setting on the spot, an Auto mode hands off shooting decisions to the camera, and a customizable 'i' menu keeps your most-used settings within quick reach.
