To reduce weight, the housing is crafted from corrosion- and impact-resistant fiberglass-reinforced polycarbonate polymer. This material is also temperature-resistant, making the binoculars suitable for use in extreme climates while minimizing expansion and contraction caused by temperature fluctuations, which could otherwise misalign the optical components over time. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed, making them submersible up to 3.3 feet and fogproof in all weather conditions.
