Sony's new Alpha 6700 APS-C hybrid camera features a back-illuminated CMOS sensor and is designed to provide high-quality image capture. It features a dedicated AI processor and is also capable of detecting and tracking subjects accurately. 6K oversampling at 4K/60p was conducted using a 10-bit recording format. The high frame rate of 4K/120p was achieved through the use of all intra formats. The Alpha 6700 features a variety of different file types and settings, and it can be used with a fast AF system with 759 phase detection points and a 93% coverage rate. It also features a dedicated AI processor that's capable of detecting and tracking subjects accurately. It features a full-time manual focus and a focus bracketing system that's designed to create a remarkable depth of focus. It can shoot up to 1,000 JPEG files at 11 frames per second. The Alpha 6700 is also equipped with a built-in anti-flickering feature, which is designed to help minimize the noise in low-light situations. The Alpha 6700 features a flexible ISO shooting mode that's ideal for capturing high-quality images. It can also be used with a dedicated AI processor to monitor and record videos. The Alpha 6700 also features a built-in breathing compensation feature that's designed for consistent and accurate perspective with movies. It can automatically adjust the framing to highlight the subject.

Built on the 26MP Sony APS-C Exmor CMOS sensor and paired with the BIONZ X-RAY processor, the Sony A6700 is capable of capturing ultra high definition video in 4K at frame rates up to 120p.  Thanks  to full pixel readout from the 6K sensor, more than two times the data needed is collected greatly reducing visual distortions like moiré and aliasing.  Capture up to 2 hours of 4K video in 30p or more than 40 minutes at 60p on a 128GB memory card.  

Special shooting modes like Slow & Quick mode allows you to choose the format and shoot in 4K at specific steps between 1 and 120fps or Full HD at 1 to 240fps depending on your selected format.  This feature allows you a great deal of control to speed up or slow down action.  S-Cinetone can be used to produce specific colors and exceptional skin tones by using the same technology found in professional Cinema Line cameras.  Add in Creative Looks for specific moods while recording too for an incredible array of stylistic control.  Easily preview these looks and your presets either on the camera's monitor, through the electronic view finder or via HDMI output.   For technical control of dynamic range and better post production editing ability like matching footage from other Sony Cinema line cameras, the A6700 uses S-Log3 and S-Gamut3 Cine Gamma Curves.  

Also well suited to low light shooting and night sky imaging, the A6700 allows for instant time-lapse settings with frame rate, recording light and interval customization. 

Leveraging the newly introduced HEIF High Effienciency Image File format, photographers capturing still images can optimize their image storage management and image quality.  Choose between 4:2:0 or 4:2:2 formatting options, compressed and lossless when shooting raw.  Creative Looks are fully available for still shooting and can be combined with the algorithmic adjustments made for improved skin tone, backlit lighting conditions, and better white balance.   Add in user-defined configurations and the options are nearly endless.   Hybrid Log-Gamma mode allows for optimized viewing of still images when connected to an extrermal monitor with a dynamic range in 10-bit HEIF format.  

Sony's AI Processing Unit provides an impressive set of enhancements to the A6700 autofocus and image stabilization, for smooth footage and exceptional image clarity regardless of lighting, weather or movement.  AI powered subject recognition is applied to 759 phase detection points in still shooting modes and 459 points in video modes, allowing for real time tracking.  Bracket your focus over 299 images with sequential focus shift while maintaining focus accuracy down to EV-3.0 in low light conditions.  Other smart features include focus breathing compensation, autofocus assist, focus mapping and focus peaking while autofocusing.
