Two XA Elements, Three ED Elements

Nano AR and Fluorine Coatings

• The two XA elements in the lens' optical design contribute to its superior surface precision. They help you control various spherical aberrations and field curvature.
• The three additional low dispersion elements in the lens' design help minimize the effects of color fringing and chromatic aberrations for enhanced color neutrality and clarity.
• The Nano AR Coating has been utilized to enhance contrast and reduce flare and surface reflections. The internal focus mechanism and the Direct Drive Super Sonic motor provide a quick and quiet AF performance.
• They also help you get the most out of your photos. A quick focus hold button is located on the lens barrel. This provides users with easy access to their desired settings.
• The lens' physical aperture ring can also be de-clicked to provide silent switching for video applications. The lens' moisture-sealed and dust-resistant construction allows it to be used in harsh environments.
• Its rubber control rings also help minimize the effects of cold weather. The front element of the lens is also made of a fluoride-coated material that repels moisture, dirt, and fingerprints.
