The camera features a rear 3" 1.04m-dot touchscreen LCD with a flip-out design, ideal for effortless self-filming and selfies. When recording, an integrated tally lamp surrounds the LCD with a red border for clear indication. When shooting vertically for platforms like TikTok or Instagram, the LCD screen automatically adjusts to display information in vertical orientation.

For audio recording, a directional 3-capsule microphone ensures clear forward-directed sound capture, perfect for vlogs and interviews. It includes a dedicated windscreen to reduce distortion in outdoor filming environments.

Focus Breathing Compensation actively corrects any visual distortions that may occur during manual or automatic focus adjustments, ensuring consistent image quality. Additionally, the Slow & Quick (S&Q) Mode supports Full HD video recording at selectable frame rates ranging from 1 to 120 fps, enabling both slow-motion and fast-motion effects to enhance creative storytelling.

It offers a versatile ISO range from 100 to 32000, expandable to ISO 102400 for enhanced low-light performance. Working alongside an upgraded BIONZ XR processor, the sensor supports significantly faster performance, leveraging an expanded 5.6K oversampling area to optimize image processing capabilities.

Sony incorporated a fast-hybrid 759-point phase detection system and an AI processing unit to enhance subject recognition capabilities. Real-time Eye AF ensures sharp focus on human or animal eyes during portrait photography. Activated by half-pressing the shutter button, this feature allows users to prioritize either the right or left eye. AI-based real-time tracking automatically identifies and follows moving subjects, supporting Face/Eye Priority AF to track eyes or faces in real-time based on subject movement.

It supports UHD 4K video recording up to 60p, employing full pixel readout with 5.6K oversampling to enhance detail while minimizing moiré and aliasing artifacts. It also offers Full HD 1080p recording at up to 120 fps, utilizing the 600 Mb/s XAVC HS and XAVC S-I formats with 4:2:2 sampling for superior image quality. With the NP-FZ100 battery, you can now capture approximately 610 shots per charge, marking a 30% increase compared to the previous model. Additionally, the camera can be powered via the USB-C port or an optional power adapter for extended shooting sessions.
